Exercise and Immune System

FITNESS The immune system is closely linked with exercise and is weakened when the body is not in good working order, so alongside good nutrition and hydration, exercise is ideal for keeping your immune system in peak condition. Regular exercise increases hormonal activity, clears out waste products and re-energises your body’s cells. Remember, though, that heavy exercise suppresses the immune system; if you are under the weather take it easy.
